Black 'n White
This unique translucent black acrylic sheet appears as a bright white when illuminated, and appears opaque black when unilluminated. This makes it ideal for individually illuminated letters with maximum visibility in daytime or nighttime. The letter would be black during the day, and bright white at night. Secret signs, which display only when internally illuminated, can also be made easily with Black 'n White(r) along with opaque films. Typical messages would be "No vacancy," "Garage Full," and "Danger." Black 'n White(r) comes with a matte finish, which strengthens the black color in the unlit state. Masking is adhesive polyethylene on both sides.
This product is best known by the trade names Jewelite(r) and Silvatrim(r). This is a flexible plastic strip that can be formed around the edge of a cut out letter. It adds depth and dimension to any style of letter, and also provides a way to attach the letter face to a fabricated aluminum cabinet.
