The material properties that make lexan durable, also make it prone to kickback during
sawing. Installation of these panels is a DIY job, but let a tradesman do
any cutting to length. It is a good idea to place wood blocks (bottom picture)
to make the corrugated sheets more rigid during cutting. Push slow and steady,
holding very tight to workpiece. You must be very cautious when cutting this material. |

Anchor Installation Details 1. 1/4" tapcons may be ITW or ELCO. Elco Panelmate anchors may be male, female, or panelmate plus. Head style may be standard 13/32" or washered 5/8" hex head. 2 Ensure minimum 2" edge distance for all anchors to concrete and to hollow block. Edge distance of 3/4" is acceptable for anchors to wood. 3 Minimum embedment and edge distance excludes stucco, foam, brick, and other wall finshes. 4 Where existing structure is wood framing, existing conditions may vary. Field verify that fasteners are into adequate wood framing members, not into plywood. 5 Where anchors fasten to narrow face of stud framing, anchor shall be located in center of nominal 2x4 wood stud. Wood stud shall be southern pine or greater density. 6 Machine screws shall have a minimum of 1/2" engagement of threads in base anchor and may have either a pan head, truss head, or wafer head. |
